Warren’s night out in Country Jamboree in Orchard Towers

Around 8:30pm I get a call from a friend asking if I was free to go out that evening, which I was so plans were made to meet up at Country Jamboree around 10pm that night.

I arrived about 9:30 and had a smoke outside in the back by Blue Banana before going in. the good part about this location of the Orchard Towers is that you can watch the girls heading up stairs or to the basement and decide which direction you plan to head first. Now the night I was out there was a light rain but it didn’t seem to matter to much to anyone.

Across the street you have Harry’s , Orchard KTV and upstairs a new club called Brown Sugar Babes this is in the location where Genive’s use to be years back. Harry’s is pulling in a few girls of a different caliber then the towers not that I’m saying of a higher class just different. I guess the place has to keep some lever of decency due to its reputation, never the less you’ll find girls there. The KTV you’ll find you China girls working mostly at least form what I saw entering the place.

On the street there were girls walking around, not very fast and diffidently not going anywhere? I had one girl from Sri Lanka offer up her services for 100 buck, no rush on time.

After I finished my smoke I head for the Jamboree on the second floor. Now this club is your country western club in the towers. They now have a smoking room which is small but if you don’t want to go outside it is a good option. I got luck and found a table by the window overlooking the entrance and the escalators so I could watch everyone coming in. across the way is Ipanema which was pulling in all the girls from everywhere in the world. Saw about 8 or 10 girls from Nigeria even going in which is a first for me to see in there. One of these girls when I first saw her I would swear could not have been more than 17 in my option, short, thin but over all looked ok. When she reached the door to Ipanema they checked her ID and let her in so I guess I was wrong or the ID was fake.

Now for Country Jamboree, I order a pitcher and 2 glass and start drinking, about 10 minutes an older Thai Lady comes over and tries to talk to me, she could have been in her 40’s easy, a bit over weight and not very good looking. I just tell her I’m not looking and thanks and she moves on. The club had some real killers in there just sitting around with their girlfriends or talking to the guys some was with. Here you are not rushed to get and go. The girls here are either older or not your normal bar whores to say. More like a pick up bar you would find anywhere only here you still have to pay the girls so I guess they are just a different class of bar whores.

What I really love about the bar and Orchard Towers over all is the outfits you see the girls wearing,  damn sexy stuff, this one Thai girl in the club had a short dress that was backless and in the front and a low round neck the reached to her naval. The best part of all she had a great body and looked fantastic.

The heels, tight pants, mini-skirts, short shorts, see though tops, what else could you ask for except for the prices. This is no place to just hang out unless you are in to self abuse because over time you will cave in and pick a girl to go with unless that is you have been there many time and have build up some kind of immune system to the girls which all regulars have done.

Second girl to approach; another older Thai lady, a bit better looking than the first one tells me for a drink she’ll take me to the bathroom and give me some head. Crazy place, I tell you!

At the next table this guy is trying to work out the deal with the girl on the price to take her out, she is saying in broken English 200, she is trying to get her to go for 150! So back and forth they go, then he says how much for you and your friend? I’ think to my self – 200 each, which is what she says.  Not getting the deal he wants he walk off and the girls carry one like nothing happen. After all it is just business, right? This is what really separated Asia from the states, to have a place that everyone knows about is a location to get girls and do it openly. No bullshitting around, here is the deal take it or move on.

Third Girl; this is the one that make you wish you were loaded with cash and single (if you are married). Totally sexy, dress to kill, very pretty, fantastic body, 5” hells and stocking, I about fell out of my chair when she entered the bar I think that is why she came straight for me. it hurt a guy to have to turn her away like I did but it was great watch her walk away.

I departed the club about 2am I think it was and there was still a good crowd of girls there. Great night and got to see so awesome looking girls.

B One / November 3 2007 / The Marriott Hotel Basement

This is the old Bar None location that has been renovated into a new bar.

The floor layout is pretty much the same and the old place with a few changes in the layout which really opens up some space in. There is a smoking room for us that still enjoy going to a club and being able to continue to enjoy a puff. Other additions include 2 VIP sitting areas with one off the dance floor and closet to the bathrooms.

There is still the upper area in the back and the lower area by the stage which gives everyone a good view of the band that is playing and dance floor.

Since the B one bar only opened on 31 Oct 07 the crowd was kind of thin when we arrived at 7:40pm but by 10pm when the band start the people where starting to show up which for the place is pretty normal.

Operating hours are from 7pm to 4am, happy hours are from 7pm till 9pm (could be 10pm) where you get 1 for 1 on your draft beer which they have Hollgarden, Ashise, Carlsberg - S$13.60 and 2 others kind I forgot and house pours.

The present band is from America and plays a little bit of every thing with a lively stage show. The sound level is good enough so you can enjoy the music but still talk with your company at the same time.

Like Bar None I feel the new B One will quickly become a hangout for many people to party in the Orchard Road area.

No 5 / September 5 2007 / Emerald Hill

This has always been a good place to take friends or meet new ones. Most any night you stop by No-5 after 6 or 7pm you’ll find a fairly good crowd there. With the new smoking band in Singapore you’ll have to site out side which in a way is kind of good because you will get to see everyone coming, going and passing by.

Most of the customers are working professional so you will not to many of the younger partiers going there which makes No-5 a fight free area. Locals and expats make up the crowd in both groups and singles. While I was there I saw just about mix and race there another good sign.

You stairs you’ll find a pool table in the back and another bar in the front.

The food menu has finger food which is pretty good and fairly prices.

Big Boss / September 2 2007 / 30 East Coast Road #01-12  Paramount shopping Centre

If you like Buy-me-Drinks then your love this place while it is a small pub that may seat 20 or 30 people if you’re are lucky, but the girls are plentiful there. Not the highest of quality but you can find some real stunners in there from time to time.

Like most of the BmD bars you’ll find Filipina’s working there.

Drinks will run from 10 buck and go up depending on what you like to get here. So with that in mind the bill can get very high quickly

Angeles Club / September 2 2007 / 78 Tanjong Pagar Road

Me and 15 Girls wow what to say?

Got hit by 4 girls right off the bat before I could get my ass in the chair

Action was ok and the girls were just warming up for the night I guess.

Picked out one to get a S$20 drink for (Tequila) and the real stuff to could smell it strong which is always a good sign.

Things got a bit friendly but no big deal so I headed out.

Geographer Bar / 1 September 2007 / Blk 3D River Valley Road Unit #02-03

I had heard about the bar and stopped by once only to find them closed will not this time.

Big place with live music. The band was playing a mix of American and Vietnamese songs so that give you some idea of the crowd.

So here is the layout. You have a enter area and the first thing I took note of where the lockers like you find in Orchard Towers that the girls use to store their things.

When you enter the bar area the bar is on your left there you can see all the bottle the guys have bought and there are a lot of them too. So the place has a good following. Being early there was only about 4 couple there. 1 white guy with his little honey-ko, 2 Chinese girls and the guys just hanging out waiting.

I was there with the wife and we were sitting by the 2 Chinese girls well there is a wall mirror so when I looked in thai looked right into the faces of the girls and looks / smiles where exchanged.

If I was alone this would be a much better report.

I did see any action while I there but they close at 5am, so this is a late night place for the girls I'm sure. You will not get the action like Duxton or PSC but you never know what could happen until the place is going a full speed.

We had out beers and left.

I'll check it out some other night late at night to see what the real deal is.

Forbidden City / September 01, 2007 / 3A Merchant Court, River Valley Road

One of the IndoChine chain of clubs and pretty nice too, this is your chillout bar.

1-4-1 on drinks during happy hours from 6 to 10pm all week long.

Music : House

Crowd : mix of local and expat females / expat males mostly from what I saw.

To me it looks like a great place to pick up local girls.

Closing time is 3am or 4am depending on the crowd.

Over all the bar part is pretty cool if you want to just hang out for while with friends or try to make some new one.

Ice Cold Beer / August 13 2007 / Emerald Hill

ICB as it is known is another great place to go and check out. If you love beer this is a must go to place for you. The selections of beer they have large and deals are always going on here.

The crowd is pretty cool and everyone is friendly enough making it a good place to look for new friends. ICB is a place where you will find a large number of expats hanging out.

2 stories you have more then enough places to seat.

If you have not been to ICB make a trip there and check out along with the other pubs next door.

Dan and Warren who is a bit drunk aready

The Whisky Store / August 8 2007 / Water Front plaza #01-09/10 Havelock Road

If you remember the ACNA pub this is owned by the same couple, Joyce and Khoon. They reopened the new club in July of 2007 and the set up is very nice with a cigar room so you don’t have to step out side to enjoy them.

They have a full bar and food along with the stock of fine whisky’s they stock.

If you want you can make orders which they will deliver if it is over $200.

Club Fire / August 1 2007 / 30 East Coast Road #01-27/28 Paramount shopping Centre

One of the bigger clubs in Paramount Shopping Centre is also a Buy-me-Drink pub. The owner is a cool guy and from time to time you will see him there with his wife talking to the customers and making friends.

Due to the size of the pub it is a good place to hold parties if you have a large group. They will help you set up the party and some times can offer you deals on drinks depending on the size of your group.

The quality of girls is great there which bring many customers back over and over again.

Club Fire in the Paramount Shopping Center

The Common Place / July 8 2007

This place was called Ten Gu but changed name. One if not the only Buy-me-Drinks Bars on the street. Very small but a friendly place to visit. Drinks for the ladies mostly start at $20 so this is not a place for people who are watching their money.

If you like BmD pubs check it out if you find your self around the area they close around 3am.

The Common Place - Circluar Road  The Common Place - Circluar Road

Abby Pub / July 1 2007 / 30 East Coast Road #01-05/06 Paramount shopping Centre

One of many Buy-me-dinks pubs in the Shopping Centre on the first floor. Nice layout and friendly staff working there. It was late at night when I arrived so not many customers there about 11:30pm closing time is 1am.

Not much to add right now, I’ll return there and get more info for sure.

Saturday night outing 30 June 2007

After being home for most of the month I got out on the town at last. Wasn’t really sure where to head to so I hit the last place I was which is Bull’s-eye in Singapore Shopping Center 190 Clemenceau Ave to see how it was for my second trip there. I arrived about 6:15 way to early to catch any action that may be happening but though I would give it a chance.

This pub is like your local bar, a friendly spot to stop by with friends and have a good time. Alex the owner is a cool guy and his workers tell me he is a good boss. Alex has plans to do some work in the place so over time it should become even better. Prices are good I think it was 6 bucks a mug and if you are a big partier or have friends with you he also has the towers which hold 3 jugs for you.

Had a seat got my beer and listened to the Chinese karaoke singers that where having fun shooting pool and drinking. About 6:45 a staff member shows u for work. she come over to the table and says as if we knew each other and says something like good to see you again! So now I’m like who is this girl and where did I meet her? All kinds of thoughts are going thought my head.

She and I starting talking so I get her a drink, ($20) and after a while I just tell her, “I forgot her name” and she said “I forgot yours too”. So she tells me her name is Lyn and I tell her mine. Then all the pieces fall in to place. “Oh your warren the guy with the web site right?” so from there we talk some more and get us another drink and head out to my next spot.

Lucky Plaza,
I make a stop by Marissa’s pub to say hi and have drink. Good crowd, everyone have a good time. I run into Abby there and she tells me that Sara is back from the PI. (I meet both in Rendezvous Pub in Lucky Plaza) so we talk for a while then Sara shows up and says hi but she is busy with others so can’t stay. I have a few more beers chatting to Marissa and some on other girl and make a move.

Next stop is Rendezvous Pub in Lucky Plaza where Alex and Jacky are working. Not much going on here tonight so Jacky move in to say hi ad to get her drink if she can Which she knows she can from me. ($10 orange juice) so after 2 beers there I’m gone and heading for Boat Quay.

After a short MRT ride I find BQ pretty dead in most bars along the strip. What a sad site to see the area dying. It is nothing like it was back in 2001 when I moved here. Not 60% of the pubs are gone and the thrill of the place is gone. So I have dinner had head home.

3 June 2007 – Sunday outing at Lucy Plaza on Orchard Road

Rendezvous Pub

Here is the run down of my day in Lucky Plaza on a Sunday. To start with I arrived about 2:30pm at Orchard MRT station, what a mad house that was. So I am walking up the street to get to the underpass that will take me right to Lucky Plaza. I notice a lot of maids are now sitting along the walkway of Orchard Road since their park is now gone. Some are ok looking with a few hotties along the way that might draw some attention from passer-bys. Across the street at Lucky Plaza on walkway about the street is lined with girls and guys just hanging out talking and watch the crowd below.
Could be a target rich area if you have what it takes.

My first stop was Rendezvous Pub on the second floor this was my first time there on a Sunday afternoon and when I walked in the place was packed full. Annie (the manager) spotted me right off an cleared a place for me at the bar so I squeezed in between 2 couples and ordered my self a beer.

Checking out the crowd I see 2 sets of 3 girls hanging out drinking beer and chatting but still checking out the guys, (me) There was about a 60/40 mix of girls to guys and all where maids, most where average but rest were ever nice.

Starting my second beer and Annie introduced me to one of her friends who is there every Sunday, Brenda, not a bad looking lady and great singer. So I hung out for a while (3 beers) then headed out to visit another pub.

I meet Marissa who was happy to meet me and we spoke for a while as she gave me some info on the pub and her self. The pub had a good mix of locals, Filipinos and other Expats so everyone is welcome to go and party there.

Marissa Philipino Pub

Second stop was Marissa Pilipino Pub on the third floor, this place was packed also with maids. About a 77/25 mix of girls to guys here with large groups of girls say 5 to 6 with a lot of regulars visit the pub on Sundays so best to call ahead a reserve a table, phone number - 6732 0226. Girls there were drinks Gin, Jim Bean and beer so a real party crowd.

While there I meet Abby who I first meet in Rendezvous Pub a few months ago and one other girls but I forgot her name. Over all I had a good time there with Marissa and the other girls in the pub. Ladies drinks are 20 buck for bottled beer and 6 bucks for mug or 20 for a jug so pretty good prices.

Marissa’s pub open at 10am on Sundays / public Holidays and closes at midnight, on other days the timing is Monday to Friday – 5pm to 12am and Saturday 3pm to 12am. If you get hungry food can be delivered to you from out side so no need to leave the pub.

In closing

Both places are fun and full of people to party with, you’ll find some good people and plenty of great singers both male and female. The songs vary so you’ll sure to fine
something you like if you care to do some singing also.

Sky @69 – No.69 Kampong Bahru Road, 6234 0818 (April 30, 2007)

I arrived at Sky around 11/11:30 at night. This is your regular KTV pub kind of place.
They have a pool table and the songs which are mostly Chinese songs. The staff is friendly enough but for a Monday night it didn’t give me the impression that it was a BmD kind of place.

The night I went it was a mix of half guys and girls. The female staff members are a mix of Indian and Chinese girls. Strange mix I know but it seems to work there.

Over all an ok place but it is one of those I would need to visit on a better night to get a true feel of the club seeing how I was pretty messed up the first visit.

I meet Vicky who has seen my web site so that was good to know.

Kevin’s – 15 Kampong Bahru Road – 6226 1106 (30 April 2007)

Arrived at Kevin’s about midnight making it my Third stop for the night.
Not many people there that I could see but t was a Monday night too.

The club has 2 sides to it which are divided by a wall with the bar is on the same side as where you enter the club. A fairly good size place so you can have a large group you party with this could be a good place for you to visit.

There are rooms upstairs but I didn’t have a chance this trip to visit.

Prices are great S$6.00 got a mug of beer.

Music is a mix of Malay and American songs on the KTV TV which is good since most if not all the girls are Malay there. You can buy Lady drinks downstairs and up in the KTV rooms which are limited in number.

Closing time is around 2am or 3am I can’t remember now, sorry.

This is a place I will visit again, it just has my kind of feel about it.

Chill Lounge – 20 Havelock Road #01-14, Central Square – (April 2007)

Another one of your small pubs in the area to visit.
Chill is your yuppy club as the waitress Sze Wei told me. Mostly young working professionals that just want to hang out sing some songs and have a good time with friends.

You will find seating for about 50 people, a pool table, karaoke songs and Sam Miguel on tap. Mugs cost you S$6.00 bucks from 6pm to 9pm during happy hours.

Closing time is 1am Monday to Thursday and 3am on Friday and Saturday.

It was Thursday I think when I visited the club and found a number of people in the club even thou it was early around 8:30pm.

The entire are of central mall and square has basically the same kinds of club so this could be a good place to hang out for night and do some pub hopping to see just what meets your party needs.

eM by the Bay – 1 Nanson Road #01-05, The Gallery Hotel, 6836 9691 (20 March 2007)

I was on my way home when I decided to check out the Quayside and Robertson Quay areas. As I can down the stairway off of Saiboo Street which is next the Gallery Hotel I see the bar is open at it is only 4:20pm so I stopped in and have a drink. My Bartender May was helpful on giving my the information on the new club while keeping me supplied with my drinks.

This location is the old Liquid Room for those that know the area.

The downstairs area has been totally redone with the same out side seating as before but the interior is now much nicer I think. Nice comfortable couches to sit and talk with friends.

You can have food that ranges from 9 to 14 dollars so you can orders snacks, salads, tapas and sandwiches. I had the satay which was pretty good for $12.

Drink specials include cocktails by the bottle where you can get 4 drinks for $50 to $70 so you save about 10 to 15 when you order this way.

Operating hours are 11 to 3am but will soon open at 9am for breakfast. Closing time is 3am or 4 on Friday and Saturday.

The M Studio which is up stairs opens at 6pm and has the same closing times.

I spent 3 hours there and had a good time talking to staff. Service is friendly and quick.

Nice place to visit and I’ll have to go back and check out the night time action.

eM Bar

Hot Spot - 20 Havelock Road, #01-02, / Central Mall – 7 March 2007 – 6557 2707

Stopped by the pub around 5:30pm so it was pretty empty, I talked to the ops manager who give me the run down on the pub.

Happy hours are until 9pm, mugs are 8 bucks but you are better of getting a bucket of Heineken which is 30 for 5 bottles and if you can not finish them you can hold them for your next visit. If you are there with friends you can order a tower which is 3 jugs for 62 bucks a much better deal if you are not alone.

The crowd is mostly locals and on Fridays or Saturdays they will have bar top dancers after 10pm if the crowd is in the club.

There is seating for about 60 to 70 people between the table seats, bar and comfort area which has nice cushion seats.

There are girls there to entertain you who are local girls which is nice change.

Karaoke songs in Chinese and English are available for your enjoyment.

There is also pool and darts you can play in the pub.

On draft you will find tiger beer but that have a full bar to meet all you drinking needs.

Closing time is 2am,

This is a place you need to check out after 10pm to what the real action is here.
As General Mc Arthur said “I shall return”

Finz Pub /Manchester II – 20 Havelock Road, #01-19, / Central Mall – 7 March 2007 – 6536 9416

This was my second stop for the night after Hot Spots this pub is smaller and more like your normal shop-house size pub. When I arrived I was the only customer so I had a seat at the bar. Bell the manager is a hot little 18 year lady too bad her last day is the 11th of march, ho well.

Finz is your typical local Karaoke pub which draws in a local crowd and will seat about 50 to 60 people. Along with the songs there is a pool table and electrical games to do.

On tap you’ll San Miguel beer and they do have a full bar where you can buy your bottle of Johnny Walker for $122 (which they will hold for a long as you like) or a bucket of Heineken 5 bottle for 30 which is the normal going rate I guess. A jug is 20 bucks and mugs are 8 all night long because there is no happy hour.

The pub cab order in food if you feel the urge to feed your face.

Operating hours are 6pm to 1am normally.

In the Central Mall area I have visited 3 places so far and plan to stop into the rest over the next few weeks. While I have not been in the many of the late at night yet I have had some fun, not the Duxton Hill kind of fun but a good time just talking and hanging out.
