A Few of Warren's Interest

[The Man Behind the Site] [Warren's Interest] [Asia the Mystery] [Beauty of Singapore] [USS Bonhomme Richard] [Just my Opinion]

The man behind the site

Now a day, the computer has become my toy of choice thus leading me to the creation of my web site which started out as something to do with my spare time and has grown to what you see to day. 99% of which I learned on my own, I still have a long way to go but I have built 3 PC’s for my own use which I found really easy to do. I started using the computer back in 1978 while in the Navy doing simple Data Entry and running reports on a Wang Computer and I have to tell things have come a long way since then. The portable disk was about 18 inches in diameter and 3 inches thick that I would lock in to the drive unit. I’m on the Net everyday now, I’m not addicted to it I just love it so much, well ok maybe I am. But the beauty of it is I can now keep in touch with everyone and share with others I never see but have never forgotten. My web site is now a full time job for me. Keeping it up to date consumes a lot of time what no other way since it is only me working on the site.

Warren and his 1971 Mach 1 in Harbor City, California

When I think of the thing I like to do the first that comes to mind, besides sex, is driving. To me there is nothing more relaxing then getting in a nice powerful car and hitting the road. It doesn’t matter where I am going or how far it is, I just want to go! When I had my car, a 1972 Mustang Mach 1, she was my baby as most cars are to guys. To me nothing was better on the road than my car. Powered with a 351 CJ engine, (5.7 Liter) Top Loader 4 speed and 3:50 Gears it pushed out 450 horse power at the Rear Wheels after I was done with it. Well I was never really done because there is always something else I wanted to do with the engine. I read some where, “My car will get me thought times of no woman, better then a woman will get me thought times of no car”. Which I found to be true, if you live in the States and you don’t have a car, well you can give it up because as a guy your life will truly be in the pits. Here in Singapore, it’s a different story to some degree. While most people here don’t have cars due to the high prices it is not that big of a deal. But you talk to the ladies and oh yeah it makes a difference if you have a car or not. So maybe things are the same?

As much as I like the older Mustangs when I saw this Concept Mustang I have to say I was EXCITED!

Next has to be my stereo which I slow assembled over the years I was in the Navy. Being someone that loves music and great sound “the beast” as I call it, can really crank out some serious sound. Since everything was bought over seas I was ably to buy top of the line components. In time I build a special entertainment center to hold each of the 9 components in there own cubby hole along with space for the CDs, VCR taps, cassette tapes and records.

At one time I had 2 large stereos and one compact not to mention 4 sets of speakers and other items that had been retired since I upgraded some items over time.

Hobbies, model trains HO scale, building models, mostly war chips and planes but I did have one of the Cutty Stark that was still in the box from Revell model company - well I had until my Ex-wife got ride of it! I hear it is worth a lot of money now a day so some one made out great on that deal!

When it comes to sports, well here is where I really suck, I was never any good and any of them and really never wanted to be either. I like watching but when it comes to playing the only one I was good at was Volleyball. Bowling, which I don’t call a sport I am fair at with a 135 average and my highest game being a 212 back in 1998. I had two bowling teams while out on Diego Garcia with members from the department named, “Don’t Know" and "Still Don’t Know”, we took second place the league and third the following year.

Well that about covers everything I have, so now you know a little about me!
