Comments: Hi Warren -- Typical Caucasian remark there pertaining to the ethnic relationships: Chinese, Indian, MALAYSIAN?? Hello?? You meant a national/citizen of Malaysia regardless of *ethnicity*?
And whatever happened to the other ethnic groups? Like ethnic Arabs, ethnic Jews and ethnic Eurasians -- *original* true-blue ones of Portuguese/Dutch/British descent not those modern half-breeds.
By the way, there are alot more born and bred Singaporeans who are 4th or older generation. I am one of them, whose family roots were established when this port was first opened by the Brits. In case you weren't aware, in the 1820s thereabouts.
I mean, where did you get your sources from?
I thought having a SINGAPOREAN wife would have corrected your myths. But then, I suppose she is typical of those who landed themselves just any WHITE man. As long as he is WHITE man will do, she will go hubba-hubba.

Warren – where did I get my information you ask? Simple from being out there among the people and hearing what is being said. Most people here don’t exactly know where I am from until I tell them so many are very comfortable talking around me. While my IC card says Caucasian I am not a white man but a mix of Negro, French and American-India. The only reason my IC says Caucasian is because on the application form there was no Negro under race, strange how a whole continuant/race could have be forgotten on a government document.

As for the other races you mentioned I have not been around many or have heard very little concerning them one way or another so I can not comment on them. In time if I get information I’ll surely add them also. I know the history of Singapore pretty good and it's back round dealing with the people that moved here and the settlement of Singapore also.

wow I must say. I think your page is unique in terms of content, range and being up-to-date.
Myself came over to Singapore a bit more than 2 weeks ago. I will be here for the next 5 month for business reasons and to enjoy myself in the rest of the time.

While I do not like to pay for any bullsh*t in the web, I am more than ready to honor good quality, especially on a optional basis. I saw your article regarding Designated Red Light Area (DRA’s) in Singapore. I am a uni student currently doing my dissertation based on Geylang. I stumbled onto your site while researching on it. Your article did manage to mention about how DRAs are set up and how the areas are identified. I was wondering if you have any new information regarding these. Warren - You can find the info on laws in Singapore on the internet, so that part is easy. All of the information on the area is still current the only thing i can not find out about the area is how to get a license to open a house up. Called everyone one, e-mail and no one seems to want to say how to go about it.
