One of the great parts of Singapore is that here you can find many different types of clubs to visit. If you find your self going tired of the same old area to party like at Clarke Quay and you can go for a change of pace in some of the other pubs that are around and still have a great time while at the same time making new friends. People tend to fall into a certain group and they feel the need to be in with the happening crowd. So depending on how you wish to party your night a way will determine where you chose to spend your money.
This list will help point you in the right direction or at least get you as close as I can.
One thing I found for myself is to never judge a club by the outside, you have to go in and check it out to see what is really going on inside and then decide for yourself. Here in my club description section it will tell you of the various kinds of action of clubs. For the guys of the world reading this page of course all the clubs are game for you to enter and have a great time. While for the ladies of Singapore, well you may be a bit uncomfortable walking into a club say in Paramount Shopping Center! You are welcome to do it but to be honest unless you are a very aggressive or an open minded woman I don’t think you’ll get much attention of the guys there sorry to say. But if you are bold enough to go and hang out will be an added attraction so yes you will turn some heads. (They may think you are with the police too)

Cool places to hangout: These are the happening places in Singapore where the Expats / working professionals and students go to party mostly. If you want to be seen these are some of the clubs you want to go to visit. Some times there is a cover charge which will include your first drink but if you arrive early you will not be bothered with detail
Price range: 10 to 14 for beers / Mix drinks 13 to 18
Discotheques: Want to dance the night away to some of the hippest songs played by the best DJ’s here you go! Many are open until 3 or 5 in the morning now and have good crowds from 11 until closing. Most have cover charges which will include your first drink. Arrive early to avoid the line outside about 9pm or 10pm should be good.
Price range: 12 to 16 for beers / Mix drinks 13 to 20+ / Cover charges 20 to 30 Karaoke Lounges / Bars: Medium size place - Most places opens around 3 or 4pm daily with happy hours ending between 8 and 9pm. You can either choose to book a room or just seat in the open hall. By 5pm most places will be almost full. For those who do not enjoy listening to others sing and prefer to have a private room. Small room - $120/- (for the room and 4 jugs of beer and fruits/tibits) You pay a bit more for the medium and large rooms. Of course, the number of jugs also increase. No ladies' drinks. Just tip the gal before you leave. Average tip $20/- $30/- depends on how pleased you are with her. The gals will move from room to room most of the time which is called “butterfly”. Only a few could speak English depending on the club you visit. The others either they don't speak English at all or they are just able to manage a few sentences. Some reserve the gal at their side for the whole duration of their time there and tip them $100/- Whilst others who are richer and very pleased with the gal give $50/- even for a few hours there.
Its a relatively inexpensive place to party. Larger Karaoke place - The cost can get very high in these place after happy hours.
Japanese Karaoke: Expensive places, so if you have the cash to spend or have a visitor in town from Japan make them feel at home and take them there it could be just want you need to close that big deal.
Price range: 12 to 20 for beers / Mix drinks 15 to 20+
Jazz and Blues: Want to chill out for the night to some smooth Jazz fine one of these clubs and kick back while they jam.
Price range: 10 to 14 for beers / Mix drinks 12 to 18+
Party Area: These are locations with a high concentration of clubs with in a small area. Great if you want to check out a lot of clubs with out traveling. Ideal locations to just go club hopping for a night.
Working Girl Clubs: Lonely and need a girl to talk to? Plenty of places to go to find your self a girl friend that will be more than happy to spend time with you and help you spend your money. Some of the clubs will fall into the Buy-me-Drink (B-m-D) category while other will offer you much more for the night. Most of these clubs have girls from countries other than Singapore such as the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Cambodia, Laos, Russia and several other Eastern block Countries.
A word of caution; None of the girls are checked for VD/HIV with that in mind if you should decide to take your found friend out of the club always get your self some protection first.

Gay Clubs: Singapore has fairly large guy community so there are clubs around that cater to their needs as well. While the list I have is not the complete list it is enough to help those seeking some information. There are big clubs, like the disco's that will attract guys and do many of the other clubs in Singapore so you never know who you will meet here in Singapore.
